How Recipes are Judged.

  • Criteria One:

    Technical Complexity

Technical complexity refers to the perceived skill level required to execute the dish. Due to the competitive nature of this event, judges will consider complexity to be a positive aspect when scoring a recipe.

  • Criteria Two:

Creativity refers to the aspects which make this recipe unique, ranging from ingredient choice to method of preparation and overall formulation of the final recipe.

  • Criteria Three:

    Menu Appeal

Menu appeal refers to the perceived allure of the finished product. Picture this dish as an item at your favorite seafood restaurant – how would it perform on the menu?

Additional requirements:

Your Catfish Culinary Contest recipe must include catfish as the main ingredient and can be made from whole catfish, catfish fillets or catfish nuggets.
